Day 1: Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Depart early from Marrakech and cross the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Stop at the famous Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a backdrop for many Hollywood films.
Continue through Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa,” and drive along the Valley of Roses before arriving at the Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, journey through the spectacular Todra Gorges, with its towering red cliffs and lush palm groves. Continue via Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara, before arriving in Merzouga.
Here begins your camel trekking adventure across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch a stunning sunset before reaching your Berber desert camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner, music, and a night under a starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert Exploration
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region — visit Khamlia village, famous for Gnawa music, meet nomadic families, and explore the black desert and Mifis mines.
Return to your riad or camp for a relaxing evening and traditional Moroccan dinner.
Day 4: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, head back to Marrakech through the Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s longest valleys filled with palm groves and kasbahs. Pass through Agdez and Ouarzazate before arriving in Marrakech in the evening, ending your unforgettable Sahara experience.
